Culture makes its way from the dazzlingly elegant neighbourhoods of Paris to an underdeveloped neighbourhood in Athens through Petit Paris d’ Athènes. The “little Paris of Athens” is an artistic Athenian Festival held each October in order to fill the streets of Athens with a little bit of culture, Greek folk tradition and inspirations from the World.
The festival was inaugurated in 2013 to breathe life and culture into a silenced neighbourhood of Athens but was immediately established as an international multi-festival.
Prepare to walk the paths of inspiration of the “Belle Époque” as this year’s festival is dedicated to that flourishing period of arts from 1871 to 1914.
Over 500 artists will be filling the art galleries, the music schools, the theatres, the cinemas, a series of cafes and alternative halls around the Omonoia and Karaiskaki squares as well as Larissis station from the 9th to the 19th of October.
Join the festival and embrace the spirit of optimism, attend the theatrical performances, the fashion shows and art exhibitions, marvel the extraordinary street art, participate in motivational speeches and discussions and enjoy the cultural ride to a bygone era.
Art enthusiasts will have the chance to partake in educational programs, attend open air concerts, join the pétanque tournament and discover the streets of Athens on a guided tour.
Paris has landed in Athens, don’t miss the chance to enlighten your spirit with the finest retro chic and contemporary forms of art in the heart of the cosmopolitan centre.
