This magnificent monastery was built on the slopes of Mount Vermion, in Naoussa, Macedonia by the refugees of Asia Minor. The homonymous miraculous icon –said to be carved in wood by Lucas the Evangelist- was transferred from the monastery of Melas in the Black Sea.
Mystras
The castle-state of Morias is located in the southern south-eastern Peloponnese. Its Byzantine religious monuments are incomparable and they all date back to the 13th, 14th and 15th century. UNESCO has included it in the World Heritage list of cultural monuments
