The greatest love story ever written returns on stage at Athens Concert Hall for 3 performances on April 5th, 6th and 7th. After its huge success in 2012, the outstanding production of Greek National Opera’s Ballet “Romeo & Juliet” will shine on stage yet once again in a glamorous production with a stunning scenography by Konstantinos Theofanis and impressive costumes by Celia Kritharioti.
Originally composed by Sergei Prokofiev this classical masterpiece will be choreographed by the ballet director Renato Zanella and escorted by an orchestra led by Lukas Karytinos.
Romeo & Juliet, written by William Shakespeare is known as one of the finest examples of dramatic tragedies. Set in medieval Verona, Romeo son of the Montague’s and Juliet daughter of the Capulet’s fall in love but the feud between their families leads them to their death.
The ultimate love story revives on stage, premiering on April 5th at 20:00 with Evrydiki Issaakidou and Danilo Zeka performing the lead roles of Romeo and Juliet along with the corps de ballet of the Greek National Opera Ballet in Athens.
